Persecution of Christians in Australia – Israel Folau

The Persecution of Christians in Australia has become overtly demonstrated with the dismissal of Australia’s best Rugby player, Israel Folau, by the commercially controlled Australian Rugby Union for publicly expressing his Christian viewpoint in a social media tweet last week. The which-hunt continues for other Christians who like Mr Folau’s post, such as Wallabies players Samu Kerevi and Allan Alaalatoa, and Australian Football League (“Aussie-rules”) players Geelong champion Gary Ablett and Carlton midfielder Matt Kennedy. Staff writers from news.com.au have gone one step further and named elite sportsmen Aaron Hall and Zac Smith who have been noted to pray with them.

The Wild Human Theory – Adam was not the first Hominid

The “Wild Human Theory” arises from an examination of the Biblical evidence in Genesis 4-6 suggesting that Adam was not the first Homonid. There were possibly at least three different homonid groups in the Biblical narrative. The line of Adam called the sons of God, wild humans with whom they bred inappropriately to produce heroic hybrids, and the nephilim or giants. It seeks to provide an alternative to traditional theological narratives which is not exclusive of non-atheistic scientific anthropology. The Wild Human Theory explains the origin of the cognitive explosion which accompanies the emergence of truly Homo sapiens 40,0000 years ago.

The Jehovah’s Witness and Blood Transfusion

The Jehovah’s Witnesses were founded in the late 1800s by Charles Taze Russell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They claim that the Bible is their ultimate source of authority, however, the sect misuses the Bible to vindicate their own peculiar beliefs by mistranslating certain passages, taking others out of context and conveniently omitting other passages which do not support the preconceived beliefs of their founders. Their real authority is the Watchtower organization through their various publications such as “The Watchtower” and “Awake!”

Blood Transfusion and Jehovah’s Witnesses

The teaching of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is only pseudo-Christian. In reality, the teaching regarding blood compromises Christian freedom, confuses the nature of God, and onfuses the requirements God has of His followers. Effectively, the teaching regarding blood is not only anti-life but ultimately anti eternal life.

Same-Sex Marriage and the Christian

Many Christians have a homosexual orientation, and some homosexuals consider themselves to be Christians. Even in societies where “same-sex” ‘marriage’ is permissible, the homosexually-oriented and/or homosexual Christian must not overrule God’s judgment regarding sexuality, and judge for themselves. Jesus statement “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” also means that a human cannot stand in judgement over God.
